A reader who has been on hoodia one week has this to say:
I’ve only been taking hoodia for about a week, so I’m no expert, but here’s
my experience so far:
The first day I took one (400mg) pill about an hour before dinner. I
wanted to start with a smallish dose in case there were side effects.
There were no side effects with one pill, and since a couple of sites have
recommended 4-6 pills a day for a few days before reducing to 1 or 2 a day,
I upped the dose to 2,3, then 4 pills a day over the next 3 days, then
backed off to 3, and now I’m at 2 pills a day. I take them an hour before
lunch and an hour before dinner.
They do work for me. Side effects so far are only positive. I’m using
capsules that are purportedly 400 mg. of 100% hoodia. Some sites sell
pills that have 50mg hoodia and a bunch of other stuff.
I’m not any sort of low carb diet though, so as they say.. YMMV

A reader sent in her real life experience with herbal diet drug Hoodia:
A few weeks ago I came across some articles talking about Hoodia - the
miracle cactus that suppresses appetite. I’m pretty skeptical about
that sort of stuff so I read quite a bit about it before i decided to
give it a try. I wanted to share my experience for anyone else
thinking of buying it.
Keep in mind I have to be very careful about what supplements I buy. I
have a heart condition and I stay far away from almost every type of
over-the-counter medication and supplements of any kind. Better safe
than sorry.
OK, so last night I took one capsule. Felt nothing for about 6 hours,
then woke up the middle of the night, wide awake. I was awake, and
very full. I hadn’t eaten since lunch the day before, but i really
felt like I could not eat a thing - thinking about food made my
stomach turn. I did notice that my heart was racing a little bit,
nothing to make me want to call my doctor, but I was *definitely* not
going to get any more sleep.
So, in essence, yes - it does suppress appetite. Even this morning, 18
hours after taking one Hoodia capsule, I’m still feeling a little full
and a little sick to my stomach. Might just be my system adjusting,
but I’m not taking any more for a few days just to make sure. I’m
trying to lose 10 pesky pounds, and they can wait a day or two, no
hurry here.

It is an herb used by Kalahari’s San bushmen to ward off hunger and thirst during long hunting trips across the African desert. The active ingredient in the plant is P57. Currently, there are studies being done of P57 alone, in order to create a future diet drug. Read more here ….

Didrex is very similar to amphetamine. In fact, it is metabolized in the body as amphetamine and methamphetamine, so do not take a drug test while using it or you will test positive. Read more about Didrex, click here.
